DST retires Heinrich Wittschier

Heinrich Wittschier, Managing Director in Technical Management and founder of DST, is now retiring after 23 years in the company.

When he established DST in 1991, Wittschier administrated all from an attic in Essen, until one year later the mechanical production took up the work in Hattingen. Back then, as today, the main product has been the permanent magnetic coupling for a contact-free power transmission.

Due to the increasing demand for safe and environmental friendly technology, the company could grow constantly and became part of the Echterhage Holding in 1998. In the following year, DST moved to Neuenrade. Now-a-days the middle-sized manufacturer of permanent magnetic couplings is the world market leader in its segment.

In future, Heinrich Wittschier will remain in close contact with the company as a consultant. The entire personnel of DST and Echterhage Holding wish him all the best, health and many active years for his retirement.
